English Speller Dictionaries ESDB is the basis for the official English dictionary in Aspell andthe en_US， generally only include one spelling variant for a word.The large dictionaries correspond to ESDB size 70 and include commonspelling variants. The larger dictionaries， but only one of many factorsconsidered when adding words. To suggest new words simply create an issue athttps://github.com/en-wl/wordlist/issues. If you have multiple related wordsto suggest please include them in a single issue as it is less work for me toevaluate batches of words than one word at a time. ESDB is in no way perfect。

Contributing Suggestions for new words are always welcome. Before suggesting a word pleaseuse the ESDB Speller Dict Lookup toolto determine if the word was recently added (see#507). If you want to get an idea if the word will be accepted you can use the ESDBWord EvaluationGPT(see #429).LLMs’ analysis is a significant data point， en_CA and en_AU dictionaries in Hunspell. Marco’sdictionaries are based on David Bartlett’s now abandoned version. They likelyhave better coverage of British words and fewer Americanisms. Marco’sdictionaries are also considerably larger than the ones based on ESDB， if you find words that don’t belong or otherinconsistencies please feel free to report them as an issue. General feedback is also welcome。
